Sytse JANSMA
Sytse Jansma (1980) woont in Harlingen en is een tweetalig dichter (Fries/Nederlands) en beeldend kunstenaar.
Zijn Friestalige debuutbundel “Wa’t tate seit moat ek whisky sizze” verscheen in 2008. Zijn tweede bundel was tweetalig en verscheen in 2015 met de titel “As nomaden yn tinten teplak / Als nomaden in tenten terecht”. Hij publiceert o.a. in literaire tijdschriften als De Revisor, De Moanne en de Ensafh.
In zijn poëzie is meertaligheid een belangrijk thema. Zijn werk kenmerkt zich als exotisch, beeldrijk en experimenteel. De relatie tussen perceptie en taal komt vaak terug in zijn poëzie, maar ook zijn passie voor reizen, muziek en de beeldende kunst speelt een grote rol.
Voor zijn gedichten kreeg hij in 2006, 2011, 2012 en 2021 de Rely Jorritsma-prijs. Als dichter heeft hij op meerdere festivals opgetreden: o.a. het International Kistrech Poetry Festival in Kenia (Kisii, 2018), het Explore The North Festival (Leeuwarden, 2018 en 2019) en Dichters in de Prinsentuin (Groningen, 2021).
Met zijn poëzie zoekt hij vaak cross-overs met andere kunstvormen. Zo maakte hij in 2019 voor het “Kenia-Kozelek-project” een reeks performances met verhalende poëzie op muziek. In 2020 schreef hij de tekst voor de theatrale audio-wandeltocht “It gelok fan Fryslân” van theatergezelschap Tryater. En in 2022 heeft hij voor het literatuurproject “Sprekende Stenen” een verhalen-/poëzietour ontwikkeld in de stad Leeuwarden.
Momenteel werkt hij aan zijn eerste Nederlandstalige dichtbundel die in 2023 zal verschijnen bij uitgeverij AtlasContact.

His Frisian poetry debut “Wa’t tate seit moat ek whisky sizze” (If you say mother’s milk you also have to say whisky” ) was published in 2008. His second collection was bilingual and was published in 2015 with the title “As nomaden yn tinten teplak / Als nomaden in tenten terecht” (As nomads at home in tents). He publishes work in literary magazines such as De Revisor, De Moanne and Ensafh. He has been awarded for his poems since 2006 and performed at several festivals.
Multilingualism is an important theme in his poetry. His work is characterised as exotic, rich in imagery and experimental. The relationship between perception and language often recurs in his poetry, but his passion for travel, music and the visual arts also plays a major role.
He was awarded the Rely Jorritsma Prize for his poems in 2006, 2011, 2012 and 2021. As a poet, he has performed at several festivals, e.g. the International Kistrech Poetry Festival in Kenya (Kisii, 2018), the Explore The North Festival (Leeuwarden, 2018 and 2019) and Dichters in de Prinsentuin (Groningen, 2021) (Poets in the Prinsentuin).
With his poetry, he often seeks crossovers with other art forms. For example, in 2019 he created a series of performances with narrative poetry set to music for the “Kenya-Kozelek Project”. In 2020, he wrote the text for the theatrical audio walking tour “It gelok fan Fryslân” (Bliss and Fortune in Fryslân) by theatre company Tryater. And in 2022 he developed a story/poetry tour around the city of Leeuwarden fort he literature project “Sprekende Stenen” (Speaking Stones).
He is currently working on his first Dutch-language collection of poems, which will be published by AtlasContact.

Son premier recueil de poèmes en frison “Wa’t tate seit moat ek whisky sizze” a paru en 2008. Son deuxième recueil, bilingue, a paru en 2015 sous le titre “As nomaden yn tinten teplak / Als nomaden in tenten terecht”. Il publie dans des revues littéraires telles que De Revisor, De Moanne et Ensafh.
Dans sa poésie, le multilinguisme est un thème important. Son travail est caractérisé comme étant exotique, riche en images et expérimental. La relation entre la perception et la langue revient souvent dans sa poésie, mais sa passion pour les voyages, la musique et les arts visuels joue également un rôle majeur.
Pour ses poèmes, il a reçu le prix Rely Jorritsma en 2006, 2011, 2012 et 2021. En tant que poète, il s'est produit, entre autres, dans plusieurs festivals, comme International Kistrech Poetry Festival au Kenya (Kisii, 2018), Explore The North Festival (Leeuwarden, 2018 et 2019) et Dichters in de Prinsentuin (Groningen, 2021).

En 2019, par exemple, il a créé une série de performances avec de la poésie narrative mise en musique pour le "Kenya-Kozelek Project". En 2020, il a écrit le texte de la visite guidée audio théâtrale “It gelok fan Fryslân” de la compagnie de théâtre Tryater. En 2022, il a développé une tournée de contes et de poèmes dans la ville de Leeuwarden pour le projet littéraire "Sprekende Stenen".
En ce moment, il travaille sur son premier recueil de poésie en néerlandais, qui sera publié par AtlasContact.
