Mijn vader is een piano
Als de avonddauw neerstrijkt op alles wat oppervlakte heeft, vindt hij zijn thuis in zijn nerven terug. Het gekraak van zijn lichaam verraadt zijn afkomst. Maar hij zingt niet meer, beweegt niet meer, entertaint niet meer.
Vandaag vindt het functioneringsgesprek van zijn zoon plaats op de 2e verdieping bij de 4e psycholoog. Helaas zal hij het net niet redden. Hij solliciteert nog steeds op zijn eigen functie, met op zijn neus de 3D bril van onze allereerste film samen.
En als de ochtend weer opstaat en de wonden schoon heeft gelikt, klinkt er weer gekraak. Hetis de kruk.
Misschien vandaag dan.
My Father Is a Piano
As the evening dew settles on everything that has a surface, he is at home again in his grain. The creaking of his body betrays his origins. But he’s stopped singing, stopped moving, stopped entertaining.
Today his son has a performance interview on the 2nd floor with the 4th psychologist. Unfortunately he won’t make the grade. He is still applying for his own position, the 3D glasses from our very first film together on his nose.
And once the morning has got up again and licked its wounds, more creaking. It’s the stool.
So maybe today.

Mon père est un piano droit
Quand la rosée du soir se dépose sur tout ce qui a une surface, il retrouve sa maison dans le sens de ses fibres. Les craquements de son corps trahissent ses origines. Mais il ne chante plus, ne bouge plus, ne divertit plus.
Aujourd’hui a lieu l’entretien d’évaluation de son fils au 2e étage auprès du 4e psychologue. Malheureusement, il va échouer de peu. Il postule toujours à son propre poste, le nez chaussé des lunettes 3D du tout premier film qu’on a vu ensemble.
Et quand le matin se lève et a léché les plaies, d’autres craquements se font entendre. C’est le tabouret.
Peut-être aujourd’hui, qui sait.
