Härjanahast laeval

 

Musti ummiklained näen,

Võidukaarest kõrgemaid,

hiidkrabi krapsamas kiilu.

Ent usu, me jõuame SINNA.

Seniks kui soote sean mina,

tüüripinni pihus pead Sina,

Europe, mu naiivne blondiin.

 

 

 

Et vogue le taureau !

 

Une houle noire nous environne,

Plus haute qu’un Arc de triomphe ;

Un crabe géant pince la quille.

Mais crois-moi, nous y arriverons !

Pendant que je serre les cordages,

Tiens donc la barre, toi :

Europe, si blonde et si naïve !

Op een schip van ossenhuid

 

Zwarte golfbergen zie ik,

hoger dan een triomfboog,

een reuzengarnaal die naar de kiel hapt.

Maar geloof me, we komen er wel.

Zolang ik de schoten vasthoud,

en jij de roerpen in handen hebt,

Europa, mijn naïeve blondine.
