Jorge Vilhena Mesquita nasceu no Porto em 1960. Vive em Bruxelas desde 1985. Foi um dos fundadores da revista de poesia e tradução DiVersos, na qual publicou poemas e traduções de poesia (Petrarca, Shakespeare e Nietzsche, entre outros). Publicou até à data os livros "O Sentimento da Ausência" (2005), "Vida Adentro" (2010) e "Retorno e Fuga" (2017). Jorge Vilhena Mesquita was born in Porto in 1960. He has been living in Brussels since 1985. He is one of the founders of the poetry and translation magazine DiVersos, in which he has published poems and poetry translations (among others Petrarch, Shakespeare and Nietzsche). Jorge Vilhena Mesquita werd in 1960 geboren in Porto en woont sinds 1985 in Brussel. Hij is een van de oprichters van literair tijdschrift DiVersos, waarvoor hij eigen werk schrijft en dichters van naam vertaalt (o.a. Petrarca, Shakespeare en Nietzsche).
