Agnė ŽAGRAKALYTÈ

 

Agnė Žagrakalytė-Platelienė, born 1979, is a poet, essayist and literary critic. She was editor of the cultural youth magazine Aktyvios jungtys (Live Connections), wrote for the magazine Lux/jauniems (Lux/For the Young) and wrote columns for the literary weekly Literatūra ir menas (Literature and Art). Her first book Išteku (I am getting married) was published in 2003. Her second book Visa tiesa apie Alisą Meler (All the truth about Alisa Meler) was published in 2008 and named as one of ten most creative books in Lithuania in 2008.

Education

1994: graduated from Pasvalys childrens music school.
1997: graduated from Pasvalys P. Vileišio secondary school.
2001:Vilnius Pedagogical University (VPU),  BA in Lithuanian philology (incl. Lithuanian language teacher qualification certificate)

Professional activities

2002: editor of the youth magazine „Aktyvios jungtys“
2003: subeditor in the youth magazine „LUX / jauniems“.
2003 – 2005: editor of youth pages in cultural weekly „Literatūra ir menas“.
2011 05 02 – 2011 07 08 : Lithuanian language replacement teacher (secondary) in European School of Brussels II.
2011 11 30 – 2012 07 08 : Lithuanian language teacher in European School of Brussels II.
