Pelumi Adejumo (Lagos, 1998) schrijft, fotografeert en zingt. Ze studeerde Creative Writing aan ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten en werd begin 2020 door NRC Handelsblad geselecteerd als een van de 101 veelbelovende kunstenaars in de Lage Landen. In haar teksten werkt ze met zang en klank, verzonnen talen en untranslations. Zo nu en dan werkt ze aan vertalingen en als dramaturg.

Pelumi Adejumo (Lagos, 1998) is a writer, photographer and singer. She studied Creative Writing at ArtEZ University of the Arts and was included in NRC Handelsblad’s 2020 list of 101 promising artists in the Low Countries. Her writing draws on song and sound, invented languages and untranslations. Adejumo is also an occasional translator and dramatist.

Elle a étudié la création littéraire à l’ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (Arnhem) et a été sélectionnée par le quotidien NRC Handelsblad comme l’un des 101 artistes prometteurs des Pays-Bas. Dans ses textes, elle marie chant et son, langues inventées et intraductions. Il lui arrive aussi de se manifester en tant que traductrice et que dramaturge.
