Dagur HJARTARSON

Dagur Hjartarson was born in Fáskrúðsfjörður in 1986. His first novel, The Last Confession of Love, was shortlisted for The European Union Prize for Literature in 2017. Hjartarson has also been awarded the Tomas Gudmundsson Poetry Prize and the Icelandic Literature Center's Newcomer's Grant as well as the Jon ur Vor Poetry Prize. He lives in Reykjavík.

 

Dagur Hjartarson est né à Fáðskrúðsfjörður en 1986. Son premier roman, La Dernière déclaration d’amour, a été sélectionné pour le Prix de littérature de l’Union européenne en 2017. Récompensé par les prix de poésie Tómas Guðmundsson et Jón úr Vör, Hjartarson a en outre bénéficié de la bourse pour les jeunes auteurs du Centre islandais de littérature. Il vit actuellement à Reykjavík.
