Transpoesie - Poets

Edna Azulay (born 1995) studied writing for performance at the Utrecht University of the Arts. A poet and a performer, she also writes for the stage. Last winter, she was one of ten makers of ‘Don’t Kill Your Darlings’, an interdisciplinary critique of Romanticism and neoliberalism based on 'Leonce and Lena', which they were able to take to an international theatre school festival in Rabat. She is currently working on a theatre piece for Likeminds about night life, gentrification and desire.

Née en 1995, Edna Azulay a fait des études de Writing for Performance à la Haute École des Arts d’Utrecht. Poète, elle écrit pour le théâtre et monte elle-même sur scène. L’hiver dernier, elle a créé, avec neuf autres personnes, Don't Kill Your Darlings, un spectacle interdisciplinaire inspiré de Léonce et Léna de Georg Büchner sous la forme d’une critique du romantisme et du néolibéralisme. Cela a ouvert à ce groupe les portes d’un festival international d’écoles de théâtre à Rabat. Actuellement, Edna Azulay écrit une pièce pour Likeminds sur la vie nocturne, la gentrification et le désir.
